Tom Hopkinson from ROEST will make a presentation, demo roasts and be on site all the time to answer any questions.

Competition mode

Participants are given (300) grams of coffee with all needed info (moisture, density, process, origin) and 35 minutes

5 min preparation time

30 mins to perform the roast, choose the roast to Submit (90) grams of roasted coffee and clean the station.

Every participant can choose if they want to have their own roasting profile or work on the base one.

Blends of 2 roasts are NOT allowed.

Judging

Our Head Judges

We want this competition to be an open learning experience that’s why we are appointing only Head Judges and every competitor will cup and score all the cups in a blind cupping.

Certified Judge for World Coffee Roasting Championships and has experience in judging SCA Nationals and other competitions in different countries.

Judge 2 - Anatoliy

Anatoliy

Runner up for Ukrainian Roasting Competition, Judge, with a decade of experience in production and sample roasting on dozens of different roasters in different countries.

    After we receive your registration form, we will send you an invoice. Your place at the competition is confirmed after the invoice is cleared and we receive confirmation of payment — you can do so by replying to the same email.


    The maximum number of competitors is 21 and it’s filled on a “First come first served basis”.

    All participants are welcome to submit their coffee brand and compete for one of 3 Origin awards:
    • Best of Asia
    • Best of Africa
    • Best of Latin America
    • Best Packaging

    To participate, please bring one bag of at least 200 g of the coffee you’d like to enter in the competition.

    Each brand can submit only one coffee, so you’ll need to choose which of the three origin categories (Asia, Africa, or Latin America) you want to compete in.

    Important: The retail price of your roasted coffee must not exceed €60 per kilogram.

    That means the maximum price is €12 for a 200 g bag and €15 for a 250 g bag.
