We want this competition to be an open learning experience that’s why we are appointing only Head Judges and every competitor will cup and score all the cups in a blind cupping.

Fest Čierny Deň was founded in 2018 as a small pop-up event for the coffee community in Košice. Over the years, the festival has taken on different formats, including a break during the pandemic and an online edition-before growing into a larger event at Tabačka Cultural Centre. Two years ago, we decided to bring Fest Čierny Deň to Bratislava for the first time.
Today, Fest Čierny Deň is a celebration of specialty coffee, the people behind it, and the community that surrounds it. We continue to keep the festival non-commercial and, above all, create it for coffee enthusiasts - a place to discover new flavours, share experiences, meet inspiring people, and simply enjoy good coffee together.
